New restaurant concepts coming to Milwaukee-area’s Mayfair Collection

HSA Commercial Real Estate and Phoenix Hospitality announced changes to enhance the restaurant program at The Mayfair Collection, a 69-acre mixed-use development in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

As part of this planned overhaul, Café Grace, a French bistro that has been in operation for about four years, will close and be replaced by Truli, a traditional southern Italian restaurant offering classic pasta dishes at an approachable price point. Truli is projected to open this May for lunch and dinner after remodeling is completed.

Developed by HSA Commercial Real Estate, The Mayfair Collection is located at the highly visible intersection of U.S. Highway 45 and Burleigh Street. It includes more than 400,000 square feet of retail anchored by Whole Foods Market and Nordstrom Rack, numerous local restaurants including local favorites Pizza Man and AJ Bombers, a 146-room Hilton Homewood Suites, a Serendipity Labs coworking facility, and Synergy, a 269-unit luxury rental community. Additional apartments, senior housing units and corporate office buildings are planned for future phases of the high-density, walkable development.

In addition to replacing Café Grace with Truli, HSA Commercial Real Estate is also planning to recapture and redevelop the parcel currently occupied by Osgood’s restaurant, which will close. The 6,500-square-foot Osgood’s building is situated on a prominent, highway-visible outlot that can accommodate up to 13,000 square feet of retail or restaurant space. Ownership is currently exploring whether to expand and re-tenant the existing building or rebuild on the parcel.

Phoenix Hospitality built and opened four restaurant concepts at The Mayfair Collection starting in late 2015: ABV Social, Taqueria El Jefe, Café Grace and Osgood’s. With the closure of Osgood’s and launch of Truli, Phoenix Hospitality is now able to consolidate operations and refocus its efforts on the company’s three restaurants at The Mayfair Collection. Phoenix Hospitality will work to retrain and redeploy as much of its staff as possible in the process.
