Blue Plate Restaurant Company has signed a lease at its Loose-Wiles building in Minneapolis’ North Loop neighborhood. The building is owned by Minneapolis-based United Properties.
Blue Plate will open a 9,000-square-foot restaurant called Loose-Wiles Freehouse. It is scheduled to open in September. It will be the eighth Blue Plate Restaurant Company restaurant in the Twin Cities.
Jim Montez and Sonja Dusil, with Minneapolis’ Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, represented building owner United Properties. Jeff Herman, with Urban Anthology, Inc., represented Blue Plate Restaurant Company.
Once a commercial bakery and home of the Loose-Wiles Biscuit Company, the 120,000-square-foot Loose-Wiles building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
