Reed Construction was selected to complete a 14,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center, a 20-acre site development and a 2,000-square-foot addition of the C-section unit for Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.
The new ambulatory surgery center will feature three operating rooms equipped for surgical procedures, specialized clean and soiled holding rooms, two nurse stations with pre-operative prep and post recovery areas that house a total of 11 patient holding bays and one exam room. Hospital staff will benefit from two separate changing locker rooms and a large lounge and break room area.
Exterior elements feature a decorative building facade made of stone and brick with metal panel accents along with glass window features. Along with the building construction, Reed Construction will handle a 20-acre development planned for future expansion.
Construction will be led by Reed’s Scott Pickands, Joe Kozlowski, James Tang, Frank Cavanaugh. The company will collaborate with Anderson Mikos Architects. The project is scheduled for completion August 2017.
