Colliers’ Dougal Jeppe represented NewCold in its North America headquarters expansion at 500 W. Madison St. in Chicago. With this new lease, NewCold, one of the fastest growing advanced automated warehouse and cold chain logistics companies in the world, with extensive experience in development, operation, and distribution solutions for leading food companies, expands its office space from 6,000 to 35,564 square feet.
500 W. Madison is a 40-story, Class A office building known as Accenture Tower. Built in 1987, the 1.4-million-square-foot building is home to a 14,000-square-foot, two-level fitness center with a basketball court, and dozens of dining and entertainment destinations. It offers an expansive, high-tech conference center, and a spacious, inviting tenant lounge featuring private wine lockers.
Perhaps its best feature is its location. 500 W. Madison offers a seamless connection between the Loop and Fulton Market via Ogilvie Station, which is located within the building.
KBS bought the building in 2013.
