Newmark hired Jennie Kautz as a Director in the firm’s Minneapolis office. In her role, Kautz will partner with Senior Managing Directors Matt Elder and Steve Shepherd to grow the firm’s agency business in the Twin Cities while championing tenant representation opportunities across the broader team.
With deep expertise in property management, asset management and leasing, Kautz brings a unique, full-spectrum perspective that elevates every aspect of landlord and tenant representation.
Before joining Newmark in 2025, Kautz was an Asset Manager at Piedmont Realty Trust, overseeing the company’s Minneapolis portfolio and two assets in Northern Virginia, totaling 2.6 million square feet of Class A office space. She was instrumental in driving leasing success through delivering best-in-market spec suites and creating well-amenitized buildings in strong submarkets. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Property Manager for Piedmont’s Minneapolis suburban portfolio, managing four Class A office buildings totaling over 900,000 square feet.
Kautz holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Real Property Administrator (RPA®) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Property Management with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.
