Newmark has been awarded the exclusive listing assignment with Northland College to sell its 19-building, 100-acre campus in Ashland, Wisconsin. Newmark Managing Director Bruce Westling is representing the seller.
The private liberal arts college, which closed its doors in May of 2025, operated for more than 130 years along the scenic shore of Lake Superior. The approximately 400,000-square-foot campus includes a wide range of turn-key facilities, including a community center with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, residence halls, a modern science building, an environmental retreat center, a university-quality stadium, a state-of-the-art fitness center and more.
Separately, Northland College has engaged Huron Consulting Group’s commercial real estate team to advise Newmark, leveraging Huron’s deep experience and industry relationships in the higher education space to identify and introduce strategic academic buyers to this unique property acquisition opportunity.
