Newmark Knight Frank Epic Completes Sale of 48,000 Sq. Ft. Former Houghton International Facility

Houghton International has sold the two-story office-lab/research and development facility located at 4580 Weaver Road in Warrenville, Ill. to Dynacom.

David Friedland, managing principal of Newmark Knight Frank Epic, represented Houghton International is the sale of the 48,000-square-foot commercial property. The building is located within the Cantera Business Park.

Newmark Knight Frank Epic was also the property manager of the facility, which was developed in 1997.

Houghton International Inc. is a leader in the development and production of specialty chemicals, oils and lubricants for the metalworking, automotive, steel and aluminum industries, along with a variety of other markets. Headquartered in Valley Forge, PA, USA, Houghton maintains manufacturing, distribution and research facilities throughout the world.

The property, which has approximately 24,000 square feet of office space, sits on 3.45 acres of land. The balance of the space is divided equally between research and development and lab functions. The building features parking for 135 cars, which is expandable.

Cantera Business Park and the building at 4850 Weaver Road are located off of Diehl Road, immediately south of Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88).

Friedland, along with Reid Blynn, partner, from Newmark Knight Frank Smith Mack in Philadelphia, represented Houghton International in the transaction.  The firm has represented Houghton International on several preceding transactions in the Philadelphia region.
