NKFE completes 380k sf of industrial transactions in Aurora

Newmark Knight Frank Epic has completed new lease and lease renewal transactions in Aurora totaling more than 380,000 square feet of space. Newmark Knight Frank served as the tenant representative in all three deals.

In the largest transaction, Logistics Solutions Holdings renewed its lease for 219,283 square feet of space at 901 Bilter Road in Aurora, Ill. The third party logistics and warehouse provider has been a tenant of the building since 2005. The building at 901 Bilter Road is a 607,752-square-foot, multi-tenant facility that was built in 2006. It features 32′ clear ceiling heights, ESFR sprinklers, 133 trailer spaces (expandable to 279 spaces) and 179 car spaces (expandable to 367 spaces). It is located one mile from the full-interchange at Farnsworth Avenue/Kirk Road & I-88. The building is owned by Liberty Property Trust.

David Friedland, managing principal at Newmark Knight Frank Epic, represented Logistics Solutions Holdings in the transaction.

In a second transaction, Surface Guard renewed and expanded to a total of 149,835 square feet of space at 525 and 611-615 Enterprise in Aurora.

Surface Guard is a manufacturer of an extensive range of protective films for a wide range of markets and applications, most notably in the metals, plastics, automotive, optical film, construction and laminate markets. In executing this lease the company is expanding its manufacturing operations by approximately 41,000 square feet of space.

Friedland represented Surface Guard in the transaction.

In the last transaction, Aurora Assemblies leased 10,000 square feet at 837 W. Lake St. in Aurora. With this lease, Aurora Assemblies, a manufacturing firm, is relocating from their previous Aurora location.

Michael Marconi, managing principal, Newmark Knight Frank Epic represented Aurora Assemblies in the transaction.
