Northmarq’s Kansas City Investment Sales team, led by David Belpedio, Jeff Lamott and Casey Wilhm, brokered the sale of The Robert Browning Apartments, a 64-unit mid-rise multifamily community at 4809 Roanoke Pkwy. in Kansas City, Missouri.
Northmarq represented the seller, Bellada LLC, in the transaction. The buyer is Bird Enterprises LLC.
The Robert Browning Apartments features renovated studio apartment homes with historic charm, modern amenities, abundant natural light, and Juliet balconies accessed through original French doors in most units. Built in 1929 by Nelle E. Peters – one of the country’s first female architects and a prolific Kansas City designer – the building is part of the Poet’s District she created on the west side of the Country Club Plaza. In this district, Peters named each of her buildings after famous male poets and literary figures.
The seven-story, 36,248-square-foot community at 4809 Roanoke Parkway offers a highly walkable location with convenient access to the Country Club Plaza’s shopping, dining, and employment centers. Its combination of irreplaceable 1920s architectural character and proximity to the Plaza’s ongoing $1.5 billion transformation made it a compelling investment in one of Kansas City’s most established residential corridors.
