Novak Construction has completed a 15,000-square-foot Portillo’s in Chicago’s South Loop, making it the city’s second location for the restaurant chain known for its famous Italian beefs, hot dogs and chocolate cakes.
The two-story, ground-up restaurant at 520 W. Taylor St. features two patios, brick veneer, decorative cornices, precast wall panels and a drive-thru window. The interior includes new MEPFP systems, an elevator and a vintage car display.
