Oak Park’s tallest multifamily sells for $100 million

Golub & Co. have sold Vantage Oak Park, the tallest apartment tower in Oak Park, IL, to a partnership between Chicago-based Magnolia Capital and Goldman Sachs for more than $100 million. Golub and Atlanta-based Wood Partners developed the building, which opened in 2016.

The final sale price was not disclosed, but according to a report from oakpark.com, the transaction was between $100 million and $108 million. The sale closed on Jan. 25. It is the village’s largest commercial real estate transaction, outmatching the $68 million sale of Oak Park Place Apartments at 479 N. Harlem Avenue back in 2016.

The 21-story high-rise apartment building at 150 Forest Avenue was completed in 2016 through a joint venture between Golub, and investment management firm CBRE Global Investors. The building offers 270 studio, one- and two-bedroom units. amenities include a fitness center, rooftop terrace, lounge, clubroom, business center and indoor parking.
