MB Real Estate EVP/Managing Director Mark Buth and Vice President Kathleen Bertrand have completed a 112,000-square-foot lease renewal for Omnicom Group Inc. at Chicago’s Michigan Plaza. Omnicom, a global advertising and marketing communications services company, has now leased more than 212,000 square feet at the property in the past 12 months.
“We are pleased to announce the renewal of Omnicom’s 112,000 square feet of space at Michigan Plaza, making them our second largest tenant at the property,” Buth said. “We spent several years strategizing and establishing the property as a hub for the marketing group, and those efforts have paid off substantially in the past year.”
Michigan Plaza also opened new tenant amenities including a state-of-the-art conference center and a full-equipped fitness facility with locker rooms. Developed in 1982, Michigan Plaza is a 1.95 million-square-foot, two building office complex designed by Fujikawa Johnson, successor firm to Mies Van Der Rohe. The property recently attained LEED-EB Gold certification.
MB Real Estate leases and manages Michigan Plaza, located at 205|225 N. Michigan Ave., on behalf of ownership and has represented the property since 2005.
