National property development firm Oppidan Investment Company is developing a new Goodwill store in Winona, Minnesota, and another in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Construction on the Winona store, which is located at 1450 Gilmore Ave. on the site of the former Sterling Motel, began in mid-August and is expected to be complete by February of 2016. Construction on the New Richmond store, which will be located at 1475 Hamilton Ave., will begin on Sept. 28 and is expected to be complete by April of 2016. Both facilities will be 17,500 square feet, and will include a retail store and a drive-through drop-off donation center.
“We are very pleased to continue our long-standing partnership with Goodwill by developing these stores. We believe both of these locations will serve Goodwill and the Winona and New Richmond communities well,” said Jay Moore, developer with Oppidan, in a statement.
According to Moore, the Winona and New Richmond Goodwill stores mark the 10th and 11th that Oppidan has developed in the past five years. Other locations include Champlin, Forest Lake, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Monticello, Plymouth, Shakopee, St. Louis Park and Woodbury.
