The Opus Group recently unveiled its plans ArborBLU, a 13-story student housing complex near the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, Mich. The project is scheduled to break ground on May 15.
The development will be built directly above Pizza House at 624 Church St. in the South University district. The luxury apartment complex will have a total of 123 units and 232 beds, offering a mixture of one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
“This is an exciting project that requires a unique skill set to implement,” said Sean Spellman, vice president and general manager of Opus Development Company, L.L.C., in a written statement. “We have worked in close collaboration with the city of Ann Arbor and the Tice Family throughout the planning stages to ensure we’re delivering a project that sets a new bar for location, amenities, technology and resident security.”
ArborBLU will feature up-scale amenities, including a fitness studio, study space, a rooftop patio and a club room with stadium views. The apartments will also offer in-house tanning and free 24-hour delivery from Pizza House, as well as secure bike storage and best-in-class WiFi speeds. The project will be built to meet LEED Silver certification.
