Construction has begun on a 175,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for MC Machinery Systems, Inc. in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
The company currently has operations in Wood Dale, Illinois, but needed to expand due to its growing workforce and need for additional space. The project is slated for December 2016 delivery.
In total, the building will feature 50,000 square feet of office space spread across two stories, 75,000 square feet of ancillary office and storage areas and a 50,000-square-foot showroom to showcase MC Machinery Systems’ equipment and enable the company to effectively host walkthroughs for its multinational customer base.
A subsidiary of the global Mitsubishi Corporation, MC Machinery Systems develops, sells and supports seven different types of high-tech manufacturing equipment used primarily for metalworking and metal fabrication. The various industries it serves include automotive, aerospace, energy, medical, military/defense, and agriculture.
Opus Design Build, L.L.C. is the design-builder, Opus AE Group, L.L.C. is the structural engineer of record, and Heitman Architects is the design architect and architect of record.
