Opus Development Corporation has been awarded a contract to develop and construct a 223,488-square-foot build-to-suit industrial warehouse for Maxzone Vehicle Lighting Corporation in West Dundee, Ill.
Located on 11.3 acres in the Oakview Corporate Park, this industrial facility will include 3,000 square feet of office space, 20 truck docks, two drive-in doors and ample parking for employees and customers.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to work with Maxzone and to develop and construct one of the few build-to-suit projects in Chicago this year.” said Mike Yungerman, vice president of real estate development with Opus Development Corporation. “The location coupled with the opportunity to own the facility was ideal for Maxzone as they look to grow their business in Chicago and throughout the Midwest.”
Construction will begin in August of 2012 with building completion slated for the end of this year. Opus Development Corporation will construct the facility and Opus AE Group is the architect of record.
Broker representatives for this transaction were Eric Chang with US Asia Investment Group on behalf of Maxzone, and Noel Liston from Darwin Reality and Development Corporation representing The Opus Group.
