Assemblers Inc. is expanding in the metro Chicago area with a new, 270,789-square-foot lease for a modern warehouse located in suburban Bedford Park. The assembly and contract packaging company signed a long-term deal for 5139 W. 73rd St., located within Bedford Park Corporate Center.

According to President Joel Rosenbacher, the facility gives Assemblers 50 new docks and brings its total square footage to nearly one million square feet.

“This, we hope, will get our clients faster to market with pinpoint accuracy,” he said.

The new facility will be hiring for new positions in the near future, and Assemblers will maintain its headquarters, a 500,000-square-foot industrial building at 2850 W. Columbus Ave.

“This latest move is a testament to our company’s recent growth,” Rosenbacher said. “This particular deal came together fairly quickly and amicably. The way everyone worked together to expedite the transaction was impressive.”

The transaction was negotiated by Geoff Kasselman, head of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s national industrial practice and an executive managing director in the firm’s Chicago office.

“Assemblers is expanding into a state-of-the-art, high-efficiency facility that is close to its other existing sites, which minimizes operating costs,” Kasselman said.

Sally Macoicz and Anthony Niles of Cushman & Wakefield represented the property owner, Denver-based Industrial Income Trust.
