Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International has announced that Ed Barnett and William Berndt of the firm have completed the sale of a 14,400-square-foot office building located at 820 West Lake Street in Chicago, Ill.
Common Threads has purchased the building as a new location to accommodate the expansion of their organization. The company teaches low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals. The firm works to curb childhood obesity through hands-on cooking classes. Their mission is to educate children on the importance of nutrition and physical well-being, and to foster an appreciation of cultural diversity through cooking. Common Threads chose the facility in the vibrant west loop area primarily because of the proximity to the new Morgan El station.
Ed Barnett and Bill Berndt of Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International represented the seller, 820 Lake LLC, in the transaction and Matt Carolan of Jones Lang LaSalle worked on behalf of the buyer.
