Ed Wabick, principal of Paine/Wetzel TCN Worldwide, has completed a land sale in Chicago and the sale of an industrial building in South Chicago Heights.

Anthony Marano Co. has purchased 7.24 acres of land at the intersection of Ashland and 30th Street, located within Prologis Park in Chicago.  The 65-year-old company is the largest produce provider in the Midwest. The company chose the land site due to its location adjacent to its current operations at 3000 S. Ashland Ave. and will utilize it for additional trailer and car parking. Wabick represented the buyer in the transaction and Vern Schultz along with Mike Senner of Colliers International worked on behalf of the seller, Prologis.

Prologis has purchased a 47,050-square-foot industrial building at 3330 Holeman in South Chicago Heights for the relocation and expansion of the company. Children’s Plus is a book distributor that has been supplying children’s pre-bound library books to schools and libraries throughout the United States since 1976.  The new single-story masonry building features 2,055 square feet of office space, four docks and two drive-in doors. Wabick along with Jeff Brant of Brant Companies represented the seller, Plastic Suppliers, in the transaction. Larry Johnson of CBRE worked on behalf of the buyer.
