Paine/Wetzel TCN Worldwide’s 20-year veteran broker Theresa Gleason lost her battle with cancer on March 5, 2014. Gleason fought her first battle with cancer in 2011 and 2012 and was in remission in January 2014 when the cancer returned. She battled on for five more weeks before succumbing last month.

“In a lot of ways Theresa was the underdog who always seemed to have a battle to fight. She found the hardest properties, clients and causes to work for and her passion and determination was unrelenting,” according to her colleague at Paine/Wetzel. “She could be feisty and aggressive but never undermining or unethical. Always on the ‘team’ whether a player or cheerleader she was there to support you.”

Gleason joined Paine/Wetzel in 2003, at the beginning of her career in real estate, and was one of the company’s top three producers in 2006. She represented both tenants and landlords and had a broad range of clients from manufacturing to air freight.

“Theresa was extremely hard-working and dedicated to customer service,” her colleague at Paine/Wetzel continued. “She specialized in the O’Hare market, and had many loyal and repeat customers”.

Gleason was a member of CCIM, AIRE and the Greater O’Hare Association, and held a bachelor’s degree from Mundelein College.  Visitation and Mass will be held on April 5 at St. Nicholas Church in Evanston, and donations in her memory are being welcomed at St. Nicholas and Solidarity Bridge.
