Peak Construction Corporation was selected by Janko Group as Design Builder for the New Evanston Hyatt House Hotel located at 1515 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, IL. Peak Construction broke ground in mid-September on the mid-rise 8 story, 114 guestroom, urban infill extended stay hotel located in the heart of the busy Northern Suburb. The LEED Silver extended stay Hyatt House Hotel, with steel frame, precast concrete plank floors, masonry veneer/metal panel cladding supported on deep caisson foundations, features a variety of extended stay room types, signature Hyatt House brand interior finishes and amenities, a second floor rooftop outdoor commons area, 3,000 SF of green roof, fitness facilities, and multiple meeting rooms. Completion is expected for December 2015.
The Project Team also includes Solomon Cordwell Buenz, V3 Companies, KJWW, and Wolff Landscape Architecture, Inc.
