Peak Construction Corporation‘s philanthropic arm, PeakGiving, recently volunteered at Northern Illinois Food Bank. Peak volunteers spent an afternoon in the Food Bank’s West Suburban facility in Geneva sorting and re-packing food.
As a source of nutritious food, innovative feeding programs, and hope for more than 71,000 people each week, Northern Illinois Food Bank has the goal of solving hunger in their 13-county service area. The nonprofit organization relies on community partners who join with them in their vision for no one to be hungry in Northern Illinois.
“There is a shocking amount of food insecurity in the Chicago area and Northern Illinois. It is an important social issue here at Peak so we became a Circle of Hope Member at Northern Illinois Food Bank to help contribute,” shared Michael P. Sullivan, Jr., CEO and Founder of Peak.
