Penny Pritzker joins Sam Zell as REAL Bright Night speaker

The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation has named Penny Pritzker as a second REAL Bright Night keynote speaker, adding further firepower to its lineup of event speakers on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

Sam Zell, who will be interviewed by Collete English Dixon, was previously announced as a keynote speaker for the premier all-industry segment of the Foundation’s REAL Bright Summit: Building the Future of Real Estate, January 25-29 Presented by Old Second National Bank.

The lineup for the evening will feature interviews with Zell and Pritzker, as well as cameos from board members, sponsors and the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation executive director, Katie Hurley Wales and president, Peter Eisenberg.

Pritzker is an entrepreneur, civic leader and philanthropist. She is the founder and chairman of PSP Partners and its affiliates, Pritzker Realty Group, PSP Capital and PSP Growth. Previously, Pritzker founded Vi Senior Living (formerly known as Classic Residence by Hyatt), and co-founded The Parking Spot, Artemis Real Estate Partners, and Inspired Capital.

From June 2013 through January 2017, Pritzker served as U.S. Secretary of Commerce in the Obama Administration. Pritzker also served on president Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and his Economic Recovery Advisory Board.

Pritzker is also a member of the board of Microsoft, chairman of the board of trustees of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a member of the Harvard Corporation, Aspen Strategy Group and the Aspen Economic Strategy Group, and a co-chair of the Cyber Readiness Institute. She is the former chairman of the board of TransUnion and is a past board member of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Marmon Group and LaSalle Bank Corporation.

The REAL Bright Summit: Building the Future of Real Estate is a bold new initiative of The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation to UNITE industry leaders, students, and friends from across the country. The virtual format of the REAL Bright Summit, as well as the REAL Bright Night program featuring Sam Zell and Penny Pritzker allows for participation from real estate professionals and students across the country.
