The Pizzuti Companies and its general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie held a topping out ceremony Aug. 22 at The Joseph Nashville, a Luxury Collection Hotel in the SoBro neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee.
Representatives from Pizzuti, Brasfield & Gorrie and more than 600 construction workers participated in the ceremony.
Located at the corner of Fourth Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard, The Joseph Nashville stands 238 feet tall and has 22 floors, 297 guest rooms and a six-level parking deck. The average floor size is 19,545 square feet and the project totals 430,000 square feet.
Since beginning construction in June of 2018, Brasfield & Gorrie has poured 19,000 cubic yards of concrete, removed more than 11,000 tons of bedrock and soil, installed more than 1,200 tons of reinforcing steel and installed more than 419,000 pounds of post tensioned cable.
The Joseph Nashville will be a full-service, luxury hotel and will highlight an original Tennessee art program. The work of local artists will be on display in every guest room and will be complemented in the public spaces with art from the Pizzuti family’s private art collection.
The 21st floor includes a full-service, luxury spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, expansive pool deck, and contemporary bar. The eighth floor includes over 18,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space with professional amenities and is highlighted by a generous outdoor terrace that runs along Fourth Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard, creating a compelling indoor/outdoor experience.
Brasfield & Gorrie began construction in June 2018 and the project is expected to be completed in Fall 2020. In addition to Brasfield & Gorrie, Pizzuti’s Nashville hotel project team includes Arquitectonica; Elness Swenson Graham Architects; ArquitectonicaGEO; and INC Architecture & Design.
