Columbus, Ohio-based Pizzuti recently earned several awards from the Central Ohio chapter of the NAIOP during the association’s annual awards event in Columbus.
Pizzuti earned the Best Industrial Project — Large Scale for the build-to-suit headquarters and operations center that it developed for Accel Inc. at the New Albany Business Park. The $18-million, 417,049-square-foot facility was completed in June, with Pizzuti Construction Services as general contractor.
Pizzuti also earned the first-place award in the Best Industrial Project — Small Scale for the $6-million, 110,250-square-foot bottle-manufacturing facility it is building for Axium Plastics. The project is currently under construction on a 12.14-acre site, and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2012.
Finally, Pizzuti earned runner-up status in the Best Industrial Project — Small Scale category for its Meadowbrook Meat Company project. Currently under construction in the CreekSide Industrial Center, the meat cmopany project is a $6.2-million, 125,000-square-foot build-to-suit distribution facility with a first-quarter 2012 completion date.
