Plante Moran is combining its two downtown Chicago offices and 350 staff into one location at 10 South Riverside Plaza. The new office will feature state-of-the-art technology and will provide greater opportunities for staff to collaborate in delivering the firm’s broad array of services to middle-market companies, the not-for-profit community and private equity firms.
Plante Moran will occupy office space on two floors of 10 South Riverside Plaza. In addition to the office space, Plante Moran will occupy 12,000 square feet on the ground floor, which will include street-level reception, space for meetings, conferences and training, and indoor and outdoor staff gathering areas. The firm anticipates a spring 2014 completion date for the major renovation project. To allow for future growth, Plante Moran has the ability to lease additional space in the building.
As part of its commitment to the Chicago community, plans are being developed to allow area entrepreneurs, civic and nonprofit organizations the opportunity to use the space for meetings and events. Later in the year, Plante Moran will announce more about its plans for the space.
“We are very excited about our upcoming expansion and the consolidation of our two offices,” said Steve Schneider, Plante Moran’s Chicago office managing partner. “This new office demonstrates our commitment to Chicago and will enhance our client service capabilities while providing our people with an outstanding work environment.”
The firm has 350 staff in Chicago and 70 in its northwest suburban office. The need to combine the offices results from Plante Moran’s merger with Blackman Kallick in July 2012.
