Premier Design + Build Group celebrated the groundbreaking of a 133,951-square-foot build-to-suit at the end of June.
The Okabe complex will serve as the North American Headquarters for OCM Inc. and Okabe Inc., manufacturing center and distribution warehouse, according to a statement from Premier.
The new Grayslake facility will be shared by Okabe Ltd.’s two US-based subsidiary companies. One is OCM and the other is Okabe Co., Inc.
The office section of the complex will include a lobby, open office space, cubicles, a large conference area, private offices, break rooms and storage. Other amenities include a showroom, training room, IT office, fitness room and coffee bar. The distribution section of the building will feature 10 exterior docks, three truck dock positions and two drive-in doors. The company parking lot will have more than 200 parking stalls.
