PREMIER Design + Build Group has completed the buildout of a new hybrid medical facility and begun renovation work on a second medical office building. Both projects are for Chicago Cardiology Institute, an independent physician practice considered to be a leader in cardiovascular space in metropolitan Chicago.
The hybrid patient care facility designed for CCI is located at 802 Woodfield Road in Schaumburg. It features a smart design that allows it to serve double duty. During daytime hours, it serves as a diagnostic imaging and medical consultation facility. During the overnight hours, the exam room spaces can be converted into “sleep suites” and used as sleep laboratories. During overnight sleep studies, patients can be screened for conditions such as atrial fibrillation and sleep apnea. Each suite features a Murphy bed and a full bathroom.
PREMIER is serving as general contractor on both projects. The Schaumburg project began in March and was completed this summer. CCI’s Oak Park building is located at 7035 West North Avenue. The Oak Park renovations began in July and are slated for completion by early October.
PREMIER’s team for both buildouts is led by project manager Bill Malarski and Joseph Ahrens, senior vice president, market leader. Malarski and Ahrens are working closely with CCI’s founder, Dr. Parag Doshi, and CCI’s team.
