PREMIER Design + Build Group LLC designed and constructed a new corporate office for Echo Inc., a power equipment manufacturer. The new 51,000-square-foot office was constructed along an alcove of Echo’s existing industrial facility in Lake Zurich, Ill., according to PREMIER.
Echo’s growth required the company to search for a larger space to house it’s corporate operations, according to PREMIER Design + Build Group. The company’s current space was land locked and not a good option for expansion. After review, a location near the company’s industrial building was selected.
“When faced with the design and build of Echo’s headquarters, our team went into creative problem-solving mode,” Mark Melone, Vice President of PREMIER Design + Build Group, said in a statement. “We know that Echo sets the bar very high when it comes to their own standards, so we delivered an office worthy of an industry leader. We were honored that they selected us for the project.”
A higher-grade architectural precast material was used in the new construction to maintain aesthetic between the headquarters and industrial building, according to PREMIER Design + Build Group. The entryway features a two-story glass wall, exterior down lighting, a 2-tiered canopy and modern cornice. Around the industrial section, the features are scaled down to fit the space.
Inside the office the mid-century modern interior features a two-story lobby lit with pendant lights and skylights, according to PREMIER Design + Build Group. The entryway offers a grand staircase highlighted with lighting, glass railing, wood stringer and a natural stone wall. Echo will also have 14 private offices on the first floor and 27 similar second-floor offices. The build-out also included waiting areas, an executive boardroom with high-end finishes, areas for collaboration and a lunch room. A major addition to the office is a training and conference area that can accommodate more than 100 people and be reconfigured into smaller sections.
