PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC has been selected to build Bridge Point North, a 240-acre business park redevelopment in Waukegan, Illinois.

Phase I of the project involves over 17 million cubic feet of demolition and reconfiguration of existing roadways and infrastructure. Located in the 240-acre space of McGaw Park, the new buildings are in close proximity to Interstate 94 and Waukegan Road. Phase I also includes construction of two new buildings: one at 625,000 sq ft, the other at 400,000 sq ft.

PREMIER will be reworking business park infrastructure to bring new electrical service, domestic water, and fire protection to four existing buildings. Construction of new roadways and reconfiguration of an existing lake will be executed during Phase I. A new heating system will be installed at one warehouse and sanitary sewers for two of the four structures remaining on campus will be rerouted. Various buildings will remain operational through the construction process.

Plans for Phase II are currently underway for the construction of up to seven new buildings totaling 1.1 million additional square feet of new building space.

Joe Ahrens of PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC is project manager overseeing the development of Bridge Point North Phase I. Johnathan Nelsen and Ron Nelsen of PREMIER are field superintendents. Cornerstone Architects LTD are providing architectural services, and Manhard Consulting LTD is providing civil engineering services.
