The first phase of an interior build-out for NNR Global Logistics USA Inc., at the 1701 Nicholas Boulevard industrial facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, has been completed, according to PREMIER Design + Build, LLC.
Building modifications included new office space, adapting exterior doors and the construction of an 18′ Redi-Ramp cargo door for easier loading and unloading. Material containment curbs were added along with a back-up generator and a dedicated exhaust system in the H-3 room. The firm will also have a newly designed customer service center, areas for both the accounting and logistics departments and a new lobby.
Storage and IT closets were built along with one large conference room and two smaller meeting rooms. A break room was constructed in addition to nine private offices. An open floor plan/cubical area was constructed to accommodate both import and export departments, and two sets of restrooms were added.
In addition to the general building changes and office build-out, PREMIER built a 12,000-square-foot H-3 room for hazardour material storage, which required modifications to the existing ESFR fire protection sprinkler system to include the injection of AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) to extinguish difficult fires of flammable liquids, greases, gases and similar materials.
Phase II of the build-out will be launching soon. This will provide more interior customized space for NNR Global within this 150,520-square-foot speculative warehouse.
