Karen Case, president of Chicago-based CIBC US Commercial Real Estate Banking, is taking on a new role as vice chair of CIBC Bank USA, supporting the business in serving its commercial real estate client relationships as well as in mentoring and developing its team.
Jacqueline Barlowis has been named president of US Commercial Real Estate Banking at CIBC US, succeeding Case. Barlowis will oversee the company’s middle market, institutional and specialty lending portfolios. She joined CIBC US in 2014 and most recently served as Head of Regional Commercial Real Estate, overseeing teams in eight U.S. markets.
Both will report to Shawn Beber, Senior Executive Vice President and Group Head, CIBC US Region, and President and CEO, CIBC Bank USA.
