James A. Brucato and Mark E. Augustyn, owners of Principle Construction Corp., are pleased to announce that their firm has completed its third expansion in five years of the General RV space at 14000 Automall Drive in Huntley, Illinois. The current expansion includes a 19,558-square-foot addition to the building, which Principle initially constructed in 2011 and expanded in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018.
“Recreational vehicles continue to be a growing industry, so we’re happy be able to expand the space and work with General RV,” says Principle COO Mark Augustyn, who served as principal on the project. “Our team has been able to help General RV maintain a modern building with enough space for their operations for over a decade now.”
The expansion includes 22-foot clear height with 14 drive in doors on the 24-acre site. Principle installed a 60-foot long paint booth which allows for minor touch ups or repainting an entire camper. The Principle team also installed a ballasted roofing system on the new structure. Located on the corner of I-90 and State Route 47, General RV’s site has been a central hub for RV enthusiasts for many years.
Principle’s Darrin Dehmlow worked as project manager on the project. Superintendents from Principle were Stephen Augustyn and Mark Frane. Cornerstone Architects is the project architect.
