Principle Construction Corp. has completed construction on a 21,427-square-foot office and manufacturing space for international retro-reflective sheeting manufacturer Avery Dennison at 902 Feehanville Drive in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Principle and Avery Dennison hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening event for the new facility on July 18, 2023.
The expansion includes 11,576 square feet of manufacturing/warehouse space and 9,851 square feet of two-story office space on a two-acre site. With 34-foot clear height, it has 40 tons of cooling, 3,000 amps of power, and an ESFR sprinkler system with a 2,000-gallon-per-minute pump. Principle designed an innovative roof structure to handle the added snow loads and installed a 60-mil white TPO roof on the building. For stormwater management, the Principle team constructed underground storage facilities, and the parking lot was modified to accommodate 75 cars.
Principle Construction’s Jim Greco was the project manager on the project, Mark Frane served as superintendent while James Brucato was the principal. Vivek Singla of CBRE represented Avery Dennison as their project manager, and Cornerstone Architects was the project architect.
