Principle Construction Corp. recently completed construction of a 24,622-square-foot renovation and addition for Subco Foods Inc. located at 1150 Commerce Drive in West Chicago.
Principle Construction Corp. remodeled 3,650 square feet of the company’s corporate office space and completed a 972-square-foot storage mezzanine within the company’s existing warehouse. Principle also completed a 20,000-square-foot food processing addition. The expansion and renovation incorporates numerous LEED design concepts to reduce energy consumption over the building’s lifetime.
Precast walls along with the roof system were designed with improved R values and natural lighting systems were integrated with photometric lighting controls. The production area incorporated a process sanitary waste system with sloped epoxy coated floors and stainless steel floor drains. Process air, gas, exhaust and water systems were installed to support the manufacturing operation.
Subco Foods Inc. is a full service food contract and private label manufacturer. The company works with a wide variety of clients including Fortune 500 companies.
