The Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) will host its last regular membership luncheon meeting of the year with a program that is designed to help attendees lay the foundation for a successful 2013, and provide the opportunity to help those in need through the Annual Thanks For Giving Food Drive.
Jeff Blackman will lead a presentation called “Peak Your Profits!” at the Nov. 13 meeting at the Rosewood Restaurant in Rosemont. According to Blackman, his client-focused presentation is based on a number of premises: In order to be helpful to clients, professionals need to give clients a more favorable future and improve their condition
His presentation also will focus on what he calls relationship power. That power, he says, has two parts, including traditional and non-traditional elements people look for in professional as well as personal relationships. He identified the traditional elements as integrity, honesty and sincerity, among others. Yet many professional relationships are built and strengthened by the ability to help others minimize risk and increase productivity.
Blackman also will delve further into the concept that professionals can win business and secure results by the questions they ask, not the statements and assertions they make.
“Members will leave with ideas; quality ideas and actionable items,” Blackman said. “It’s all about results.”
Another important element of the November meeting is AIRE’s Annual Thanks For Giving Food Drive. Each year at the November meeting AIRE asks members and guests to make a contribution to AIRE so that it can help those in need at Thanksgiving. The Thanks For Giving Food Drive, chaired by Sheri Tantari, The McShane Companies, and Elise Couston, SIOR, Paine Wetzel, accepts donations of non-perishable food items and cash.
Tantari and Couston pointed out that while there have been signs of a recovery, or at least that the economy may be starting to turn, the food drive remains very important because there always will be some people who are in need.
Members and guests can register for the meeting by going to the AIRE website at www.aire-brokers.com, or by calling the management office at (630) 510-4551.
