@properties Commercial brokered the $4.1 million sale of Rick’s Auto Care and Collision Repair, a legacy business and industrial property on Old Skokie Road in Highland Park, Illinois.
Gus Karigan and Mike Levin of @properties Commercial represented the seller, longtime owner Rick Shoemaker, who has operated the business since 1971. Keith Puritz of Cushman & Wakefield represented the buyer, an automotive storage company.
The five-building industrial complex features approximately 41,204 square feet under roof and sits on more than 70,000 square feet of land next to Route 41.
Rick’s was a well-known business to motorists traveling Route 41 thanks to its high-visibility location along the highway just south of Deerfield Road. The affable Shoemaker also regularly appeared in commercials promoting his auto shop on cable television.
