To help meet the training needs of companies at Logistics Park Kansas City in Edgerton, Kansas, several public and private partners have joined forces to create the Logistics Training Center at LPKC.
The partners include NorthPoint Development, Johnson County Community College, the city of Edgerton, Workforce Partnership, BNSF Railway and the Southwest Johnson County Economic Development Corporation.
NorthPoint is making an in-kind donation of about 5,000 square feet of space for the center, which will house a conference room, training areas, a forklift operations training lab adn offices for Johnson Community College and Workforce Partnership.
The facility will be complete in 2015.
