QT Commercial hired Trent Drake for a new Business Development role, supporting the company’s continued growth throughout Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Trent will focus on building relationships with property owners, facility managers, commercial real estate professionals, and industry partners while expanding QT Commercial’s presence across the Heartland.

With more than two decades of experience in business development, commercial roofing, and insurance, Trent has a proven track record of building strong relationships and growing businesses. Before joining QT Commercial, he helped expand the commercial division of a public adjusting firm and most recently owned and operated his own business.

“Trent’s experience, industry knowledge, and extensive network make him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Jason Quilling, President of QT Commercial. “As we continue expanding throughout the Midwest, we’re excited to have someone who understands these markets and is passionate about building long-term relationships with our clients and partners.”

To help everyone get to know Trent, we asked him a few questions about his new role and what excites him most about joining QT Commercial.

Meet Trent Drake

What excites you most about helping QT Commercial grow throughout the heartland area?

“The opportunity is tremendous. I’ve worked in all twelve Midwest states and have seen firsthand how these markets continue to grow. There is a real need for dependable commercial contractors who focus on service, quality, and long-term partnerships. I’m excited to introduce more people to what QT Commercial has to offer.”

What experience do you bring that benefits property owners and facility managers?

“I’ve always believed in being a resource first. Whether it’s preventative maintenance, inspections, service work, budgeting for future roofing needs, or helping clients navigate larger replacement projects, I want to help make those decisions easier. Building trust is what this business is all about.”

What do you enjoy most about this industry?

“The relationships. Every project starts with a conversation, and I enjoy getting to know people, understanding their challenges, and finding solutions that truly help them protect their properties. No two days are ever the same.”

What are you looking forward to in this new role?

“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new people throughout Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska. My goal is to build lasting relationships and become someone clients can count on whenever they need a trusted roofing partner.”
