RE/MAX recently honored its affiliated brokers in northern Illinois whose commercial property sales achievements in 2014 earned them special recognition.
Each year RE/MAX recognizes its Top Three commercial brokers and Top Three commercial teams, as well as the broker or team earning the year’s largest commercial commission. A team involves the combined efforts of two or more licensed brokers.
Dave Shalabi of RE/MAX Synergy, Orland Park, Ill., led the No. 1 team for 2014, while Richard Dawidiuk of RE/MAX Central, Roselle, Ill., ranked as the top individual broker. The complete list of RE/MAX Commercial Top Three teams and individuals is as follows:
COMMERCIAL TEAMS 1. Dave Shalabi, RE/MAX Synergy, Orland Park; 2. Vallejo Team, RE/MAX Synergy, Orland Park; 3. Batinick-Ulfig Team, RE/MAX Professionals Select, Naperville, Ill.
All three of these commercial teams were also recognized by the worldwide RE/MAX network for ranking among the Top 50 RE/MAX commercial teams in both the United States and worldwide. In the worldwide ranking, which includes brokers in more than 90 nations, Shalabi ranked 15th, Vallejo 32nd and Batinick-Ulfig 34th.
In the RE/MAX U.S. commercial Top 50, Shalabi ranked 7th, Vallejo 21st and Batinick-Ulfig 23rd. Also in the commercial Top 50 is the Cindy Banks Team of RE/MAX Cornerstone, West Chicago, Ill., ranked 42nd.

Saluted for earning the year’s largest commercial sales commission was the mother/daughter team of Georgia Colovos and Vickie Supos of RE/MAX Destiny, Elk Grove Village, Ill. They earned their winning commission for helping the Nobu Hospitality Group, co-founded by film-star Robert De Niro, acquire the space needed for a parking facility to serve its newly announced restaurant and boutique hotel near Randolph and Halsted Streets in Chicago.
