RE/MAX Northern Illinois names Stephen Johnson to lead its marketing and communications efforts

Stephen Johnson has been named Marketing Communications Manager of RE/MAX Northern Illinois, the regional RE/MAX franchise organization for the northern third of Illinois.

Johnson, will oversee marketing and public relations efforts for the RE/MAX Northern Illinois region, working with the media, implementing brand management strategies to increase the RE/MAX market share, managing the RE/MAX hot air balloon program and overseeing the region’s fundraising efforts for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Currently a resident of Loves Park, Ill., Johnson brings to his new position a diverse background in marketing, digital and traditional media, including on-air and production positions for radio and TV stations. Immediately prior to joining RE/MAX he served as Digital Media Coordinator for WIFR-TV in Rockford, Ill., where he was responsible for executing website and digital marketing initiatives for the station and for its client companies.

A Rockford native and graduate of Guilford High School, Johnson attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree with an emphasis on broadcast journalism.
