Located on Chicago’s Northside, The Selfhelp Home has selected Reed Construction to complete an extensive renovation to the facility’s space on the 6th floor of 920 and 930 W. Argyle in Chicago.
The Selfhelp Home is an active and engaging not-for-profit senior living community designed to accommodate the needs of elderly Jewish residents throughout the Chicago area. Reed Construction will be completing a demolition of the existing 6th floor space before making the 13,000 square feet of renovations. Upon completion, the newly constructed space will feature upgraded finishes throughout, new elegant shower surrounds and new ceramic tile in all bathrooms. Reed Construction will also install crown molding, chair rails and wall coverings throughout as well as new lighting, mechanical and plumbing.
Reed Construction will strictly adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health while also working around many existing conflicts where MEP infrastructure is critical. The demolition and renovations are expected to be completed by February 2015. Scott Pickands and Rich Melone are the project executives and Joe Kozlowski is the project manager for Reed Construction. The Farnsworth Group is providing the architectural services. The Syntec Group will serve as the owner’s representative.
