Reed Construction has been selected to complete the construction of a new Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center for Cadence Cancer Center at 4405 Weaver Parkway in Warrenville, Illinois.
The project for Cadence Cancer Center features a two-story ground-up addition to the existing facility to create a new, state-of-the-art Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center. Gamma Knife is an advanced radiation treatment for adults and children with small to medium brain tumors, abnormal blood vessel formations and other neurological conditions. The 11,268 square foot build-out will include the addition of multiple offices, post/pre operation rooms, a nurses’ station and conference room.
Reed Construction’s Project Executives Scott Pickands and Cy Rangel will lead the construction team that includes Senior Project Manager Jack Sbertoli and Senior Project Superintendent Jim Blake. RTKL is providing the architectural services. The project is scheduled for completion in March 2015.
The Cadence Cancer Center, part of Central DuPage Hospital (CDH), opened in 2010 and features radiation oncology services, an onsite clinical lab, a pharmacy supporting cancer therapy, an infusion center, and also houses the Loyola Cancer Care & Research Center.
