Related Midwest opened the doors of One Bennett Park in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, welcoming the first apartment residents to the new 70-story high-rise, the first residential tower in the city by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA). The developer has also unveiled two levels of completed indoor amenity space, as well as two apartment model units by Chicago-based luxury interior design firm Soucie Horner, Ltd.
“One Bennett Park offers the city’s premier rental residences by any measure, and with the completion of the building’s first phase, we are reinterpreting apartment living in downtown Chicago,” said Curt Bailey, president of Related Midwest.
The tower includes 279 apartment residences, which are now open and available for move-in, as well as 69 condominiums that are priced from $2 million and are expected to be completed in spring 2019. The opening of the limestone-clad tower marks the first look inside at interiors, amenities and common areas that were also designed by RAMSA. Echoing the Art Deco influences of the building’s exterior, the interiors feature custom-designed metalwork and light fixtures, detailed ceilings and millwork and materials including limestone, marble and oak.
“These models demonstrate our belief that good design can actually define lifestyle,” said Shea Soucie, principal and co-founder of Soucie Horner. “Our goal was to blend the notion of urbane and cultured living with the idea of family-friendly comfort, just as the building itself does.”
Further adding to the residential experience at One Bennett Park are the building’s full suite of indoor amenities that are now complete. These include 7,000 square feet of fitness and wellness facilities, a 60-foot indoor pool, a children’s play suite, an entertainment suite with catering kitchen and a 10,000-square-foot outdoor recreational deck overlooking the 1.7-acre Bennett Park. Outdoor amenities include a landscaped sun deck with pool, private pergolas with limestone detailing, fire pit lounges and outdoor grilling kitchens.
Located a few short blocks from Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, which both offer ample options for recreation and entertainment, One Bennett Park is in the heart of the pedestrian-friendly Streeterville neighborhood, with quick access to some of the city’s best restaurants, theaters, museums and events. Residents will also have easy access to retail along Michigan Avenue and Oak Street, and popular nearby destinations like Millennium Park and the Loop.
