Leopardo recently began a 230,000-square-foot renovation of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Deerfield, Illinois. Chicago-based Phoenix Development Partners has made a $33 million investment to acquire and refurbish the six-story, 301-room hotel.
The project will feature renovations and upgrades to all rooms and corridors with all-new bathroom fixtures and finishes, as well as lighting and doors. Floors one through five will feature standard guest rooms, with the sixth being an executive floor with upgraded finishes. The project will be completed in two phases, the first being the renovation of the model rooms and corridors on floors one through six, with the renovation of the first-floor public spaces to follow, including restaurant and bar, reception area, lobby and conference rooms.
Leopardo is working in collaboration with Daccord and Hirsch Architects to complete the project by the spring of 2020. The Hyatt Regency hotel in Deerfield overlooks the intersection of interstates 94 and 294, and is expected to become one of the best-performing in the area, servicing north suburban Chicago.
