Response Team 1, a disaster loss recovery and multifamily renovation industries, has added three key executives to its management team- Bill Budig, chief information officer; Jeffrey Clement, vice president of human resources; and Julie Harms, general counsel. Each will be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Wheeling, Ill.
Budig will manage every aspect of information technology within the company with an initial focus to develop and implement a cohesive IT infrastructure across all Response Team 1 companies. Budig has more than 20 years of experience in formulating and executing IT strategy for growing multi-location, multi-national businesses. Previously, he served as Chief Information Officer at Kerasotes Showplace Theaters during a period of exponential growth at the firm and its eventual sale.
Clement will oversee the human resources functions for all employees and locations, and will direct the company’s leadership development, employee benefits and employee relations programs. Most recently, Clement was Vice President of Human Resources for Mizkan Americas, a nationwide food manufacturing company with 15 U.S. manufacturing plants where he played a key role in integrating six U.S.-based acquisitions.
Harms will provide strategic legal guidance and support for Response Team 1 and its business units. Prior to joining Response Team 1, Harms provided counsel to several small businesses on general corporate transactions and litigation matters. She also spent 12 years as an attorney for Waste Management, Inc.’s $1 billion national sales department, where she negotiated and managed business transactions and handled employment law, bankruptcy, antitrust, risk management, legal training and litigation counsel. Harms also was a Partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson, Chicago, where her practice focused on environmental law, insurance coverage and general commercial litigation.
