Chicago-based REVA Development Partners has broken ground on a 304-unit luxury rental community in Vernon Hills, The Oaks of Vernon Hills.
The 27 acre development will feature garden-style apartment buildings and rental rowhomes configured in a series of pocket neighborhoods. The apartment homes will include one-bed/one-bath and two-bed/two-bath plans measuring 696 to 1,212 square feet. The rowhomes, measuring 1,487 to 1,800 square feet, will offer two or three bedrooms with 2½ baths and an attached two-car garage.
Amenities will include a clubhouse with full amenities, outdoor swimming pool and walking trails. The Oaks of Vernon Hills will also have a professional full-time on-site management and maintenance staff.
“Designed to feel like an intimate neighborhood, The Oaks will feature several smaller buildings oriented around passive and active green space, rather than one or two large structures,” said Matt Nix, principal of REVA Development Partners. “The community will appeal to the renter-by-choice market seeking high quality new construction residences in a peaceful and charming setting – all within walking distance to dining, recreation, entertainment and schools.”
The Oaks of Vernon Hills is within a mile of both the Vernon Hills and Prairie View Metra stations, and offers proximity to I-294 and Milwaukee Avenue.
Kinzie Builders is the general contractor.
Leasing is expected to begin in spring 2014 with first occupancies in summer 2014.
