Richard Wolk: A long streak of success

It’s an amazing streak: For the last 15 years, Richard Wolk has ranked as the top overall producer for the Chicago region of Coldwell Banker.

That’s a string of success that would be the envy of any commercial real estate pro. For Wolk, senior executive with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT in Northbrook, Ill., the streak is just a byproduct of a familiar formula: He works hard, studies his market and does whatever he can to exceed the expectations of his clients.

It’s a formula that has turned Wolk into one of the most respected, and successful, commercial real estate pros in the Midwest. And the best news? Wolk continues to produce at a high level, and has shown no indication that he is losing his taste for closing deals.

During his career, one that stretches for 35 years, Wolk has sold and leased millions of square feet of commercial property. It’s not surprising, then, that he’s earned inclusion in the Coldwell Banker Commercial Circle of Distinction an impressive 10 times.

“Richard understands the importance of each transaction to every client, whether large or small, and is thoroughly knowledgeable in both sales and leasing of commercial properties,” said one nominator.

Not surprisingly, Wolk’s peers regard him as a leader in the commercial real estate industry. This was highlighted in 2006 when Wolk was awarded Platinum status — the highest level of achievement — at Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT’s global conference in Las Vegas.

Because of his commitment to service and his in-depth market knowledge, Wolk has earned many clients who have stood with him for years. Again, this is something that doesn’t surprise Wolk’s fellow commercial real estate practitioners.

“He is seen by his clients as an advisor, and has drawn praise from his peers due to his consistent achievement irrespective of market and economic circumstances,” said a nominator.
