RJM Construction has started interior renovations at American Family Insurance Group’s regional office in Eden Prairie, Minn. RJM Construction began improvements to 200,000 square feet of space spanning three buildings last month, and will complete construction in early 2015.
This is RJM Construction’s first project with American Family. The interior renovations include improvements to all floors of the three buildings and ADA upgrades to restrooms. Site work will include improvements to handicap parking and curb cuts, parking lot resurfacing and striping, and new water retention ponds. The goal is to achieve LEED existing-building certification for the improvements. The project team also includes architect HGA.
Based in Madison, Wis., American Family’s regional office is located on Blue Circle Drive within an area commonly referred to as the Opus Business Park. Building one has three stories and was built in 1977, building two has four stories and was built in 1980 and building three has five stories and was built in 1988.
