RJM Construction has broken ground on a 61,000-square-foot charter school for Twin Cities Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota.
When complete in July of 2016, the facility will serve students in grades six through 12 for the nationally ranked charter school.
Located at 690 Birmingham St. in St. Paul, the site is the former home of concrete manufacturer Cemstone. Extensive remediation was needed to prepare the site, including the demolition of an abandoned plant and conrete debris removal.
The two-story building will hold 28 classrooms, a media center, gymnasium space and activity rooms. The building will have capacity for 620 students.
